Large lake view suites with magnificent views of Portacarron Bay. For the fishing enthusiast there is an Angling/Boating Centre on site. The garden runs to the very edge of the water and a private boat dock. This a bright and spacious home, with large lake view suites available, all rooms are on the ground floor with individual access from the garden. This is an ideal base for the outdoor enthusiast, here you are well placed for activities such as, angling/boating (there is an angling/boating centre on site) golf, there is the local 18 hole Oughterard Golf Course, and others within 1 hours drive, hill walking (the famous Western Way begins in Ougherard) , horse riding and sightseeing, from the Cliffs of Moher to Westport, the Aran Islands and Connemara and everything in between you will marvel at the breathtaking beauty of our region!You will find all you need in terms of services in the village of Oughterard. Angling/Boating Centre on site There are boats and engines for hire, for fishing or pleasure boating, maps, information and life jackets given with all boats. Guides can be arranged for fishing or exploring, and for groups of between 4 and 10 persons enquire about our lake safari. Rods and rain gear can be hired. Boat&engine hire €50 - €60 per day ( 3 persons max per boat, lifejackets - provided - mandatory) Boat only hire €30 - €40 Ghillie/Guide €130 per day (10am - 6pm) includes boat engine and service. Lake safari with guide and self drive boats and engines (contact for details) Rods/rain gear for hire. Trout, salmon fishing and all season anglers catered for. Sea angling can also be arranged for residents. Lifejackets are mandatory and provided with all boats. |
