THE OUGHTERARD TOURIST OFFICE IS THE OFFICIAL ACCOMMODATION PROVIDER FOR THE FBD RAS 2010 STAGE FINISH 25TH MAY. THE FBD INSURANCE RAS 8 DAY INTERNATIONAL CYCLE RACE, now in its 58th year, is included on the prestigious Union Cycliste International Calendar of International Cycle Races. Most important of all the FBD INSURANCE RAS provides a major international cycle race on home ground for the Irish National Squad and essential developmental experience for our young riders.

It offers an opportunity for the county riders to compete against cyclists from many different nations.In 2009 teams from Germany, Australia, China, Denmark, Austria, Greece, Norway and Britain competed against the Irish National Team, the Irish National Development Team and fifteen Irish county teams.
